Cost: $20 for SMPS members / $25 for non-members
Join us for a tour of the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center, a part of a public-private partnership between Bucks ownership and local and state government and the cornerstone of a new sports and entertainment district built on 30 acres of mostly-vacant land in downtown Milwaukee. The new multi-purpose arena is being constructed north of the Bucks’ current home, the BMO Harris Bradley Center, and will have 17,500 seats, 34 suites, and 3 club areas. Construction began in June 2016 and will be completed in time for the start of the 2018-19 NBA season.
The tour will take place on an active construction site. Long pants (no shorts/skirts) and shirts with sleeves are required, along with work boots or hard-soled shoes (no heels, flats, open-toed or athletic shoes allowed). Mortenson Construction will provide a hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest and gloves for all participants to wear. Please meet at the Mortenson trailers on the east side of Fourth Street between McKinley Avenue and Juneau Avenue.
The tour will be capped at 40 people, so don’t wait to register!
A Happy Hour will be held immediately following the tour at the Ale Asylum Riverhouse Milwaukee, 1110 North Old World 3rd Street, Milwaukee, WI, 53203.
